MARTINEZ AND MAVERICK OFFENSE CONQUER CHIEFS, 13-1

In a long anticipated district battle, the Mavericks went to Cardinal Gibbons High School today and absolutely dominated the Chiefs 13-1. Sophomore ace Andre Martinez battled through early bases-loaded jams, went on to pitch 5 shutout innings and got full support from the red-hot Maverick offense. Martinez has been spectacular in all of his 2010 outings, and is now 3-0.

MAVERICKS 11-RUN 5TH BLOWS OUT GATORS, 14-2

A tight, 3-2 nail-biter of a game on Friday night quickly turned into a Maverick blowout rout over the Barbara Goleman HS Gators, 14-2 with an 11-run 5th inning. This was the Mavericks consecutive fourth game scoring over 10 runs... McCarthy has outscored its opponents 50-4 in that stretch. The Mavericks also avenged their only home defeat in the last two years which came to Goleman last year.

CASTELLANOS LEADS MAVERICK 14-HIT ATTACK

Nick Castellanos cranked up the Maverick offense with a two-out single, none-on single in the first and went on to three RBIs and a two-hit night in the 16-2 McCarthy victorious rout of The Sagemont School Lions. The Mavericks posted their best single game hit total of the season by piling up 14 hits and advance their record to 6-0.
